Exercise improves both body and mind for Eric
"Just over three years ago I found myself in a situation many people experience in their lifetime, ”relationship breakdown”.
In many cases this can affect people in different ways, i.e. stress, anxiety, depression, the feeling of rejection, and then comes the grieving process which can last forever in some cases.
Unfortunately, I went through all of these, until the day comes when hopefully you realise you have to let go, move on and find a new road to follow.
I found my road but didn't expect what I would confront: unfortunately on my road, along the way I gained a few more health issues, and if it wasn't for all the new people that have come into my life on my journey I don't think I would be in “this better place.”
Never forgetting, you still need people at times like these. People you can trust, people you can talk to, people who are prepared to listen when you find yourself drifting backwards into that dark place you thought you had cast out, beyond the point of no return.
I had used a local gym since 2005 and as I'm a person that doesn't like change, this was my niche. As this gym was, you could say, my second home (ha ha), I never expected there would come a time that I would find myself searching for an alternative, but due to personal issues I had to find myself another place of recreation, away from my past.
After a few viewings and three and a half years later, I know now that I have found that better place at Cottingham Parks.
I have found a new circle of friends within the members, some whom have their own past issues and have shared their experiences and listened to mine, which proves that, for me at least, it really is good to talk.
The club itself is situated well off the main hustle and bustle of everyday life and once I turn into the approach road I'm always taken aback how fantastic the surrounding area is, with the drive along the long approach road before I actually get to the club itself.
I now feel its time I need to express my gratitude to all the gym staff and management past and present that have helped me regain my confidence and helped me handle some health issues I am currently having.
I know that when I'm having the occasional off-day, if I drag myself off to the gym there's always friendly staff there that somehow can recognise one of those days.
I know I can talk to them and they will listen with compassion and in confidence, and maybe suggest a new health routine that could contribute to a fitter me.
I can always guarantee after a friendly chat and some humorous stories from them, and myself of course, I can return home without that dark cloud that was hovering over me earlier in my day.
So, thank you once again to all the staff including management and club owners for creating such a fantastic well-situated retreat, which I will always recommend with very positive recommendations.
We would just like to say thank you very much to Eric for writing such a heart felt review, and allowing us to share this with others.
As Eric clearly highlights, having a place you can go to relax and unwind, as well as exercise is so important for physical and mental health.
We are please we can be this place for many happy members!
