COVID 19 Update 24/06/2020 - GOLF

LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS EASING....AT LAST FOOD & BEVERAGE IS BACK

From 4th July we will see restrictions eased on both food and beverage allowing us to re-open the clubhouse. This change will have a knock on effect to the current one way system and involve yet another change to the booking system. These plans will evolve over the next week so please be patient while we implement them. For now I have outlined below, under various headings, how we see these changes working. Please take time to read carefully as there is a lot of information.

BOOKINGS - COTTINGHAM & SKIDBY
Many of you have found the current system very frustrating so you will be pleased to learn that we have taken this opportunity to modify the system. Please bear in mind that the booking system is regularly reviewed so please give it a chance.
There are a few minor changes so please take time to read the revised system which will apply at both Cottingham and Skidby.
The new system will come into operation from Tuesday 30th June (so for booking applying to Tuesday 7th July), until them please carry on as we have for the last month.

WEEKENDS

Pre 10.30am:

Anyone who turns up and honours their tee time will, prior to going out to play, be allowed to book a tee time for the following week.
They will only be allowed to book up to one hour before their allocated time and can only book for themselves and NOT for a four ball.
Any match that is not a fourball will be made into 4 balls by the Pro shop staff.
If someone finds themselves paired up with others as a result of their regular partners failing to turn up, then they should take this up with their regular partners (there will be odd occasions when there will be a valid reason for not turning up).
Anyone who books and subsequently fails to fulfil their tee time will have the time they have booked for the following week cancelled.
Repeat offenders may have this privilege removed completely.

Post 10.30am:

Any member can book a tee time for a 4 ball. This can be done on line, by phone or in person.
The member must be playing as part of that 4 ball and checked the availability of their playing partners.
If booking on line, any visitors booked must be paid for at the time of booking.
Tee times can only be booked 7 days prior (ie Saturday for Saturday) from 10.30am
All players must report to the Pro-shop in person to arrive themselves.
Where possible the shop staff will team players up into 4 balls to allow tee times for others.
If someone finds themselves paired up with others as a result of their regular partners failing to turn up, then they should take this up with their regular partners (there will be odd occasions when there will be a valid reason for not turning up).
Players may cancel tee times up to the close of business the day before play without penalty. (please note Academy members will be arrived unless they cancel their tee time).

PENALTIES

Anyone who fails to turn up for their tee time will not be allowed to pre-book for the following week. This does not prevent them from turning up on the day to fill empty tee spaces, but they must not expect to turn up and still play with their regular partners.
Anyone who fails to report to the Pro-shop in person will be viewed as not turning up and will not be allowed to pre-book for the following week.
Repeating offenders can lose their booking rightes for longer periods.
The person making the booking can also be held responsible for repeating offenders. (see procedures 2)
