COVID 19 Update 23/3/20 - Golf
GOLF UPDATE: FROM MIDNIGHT MONDAY23rd MARCH 2020
In line with Government recommendations we closed our bars, shops and Restaurantson Friday. As from midnight tonight we will extend this to the whole of the clubhouse. We still aim to keep the golf courses open in line with Government and Golf authorities recommendation around exercise and well-being as previously mentioned and repeated below;
In the weeks and months ahead the physical and emotional well-being of everyone will become an increasingly important issue and we firmly believe that under the right conditions, and with your help golf can play an important outlet for exercise, fresh air and competitive stimulation.
With the above in mind the following conditions have now been put in place;
Bookings can only be made via our on line portal. Please click the "Book a Tee" on our web site to book a time or register if you have not already done so (most of you have already).
If you experience any problem with this please email email@example.com We will be monitoring emails periodically and will reply as soon as we can, but please be patient
A Course Ranger will be in operation to check all members and visitors so please make sure you book first.
Bring your clubs with you and change in the car park, and where possible bring your own sanitiser.
Minimise your contact with each other, keeping your distance as outlined in the Government's social distancing guidelines.
Please note that there will be no toilet facilities available
The following modifications will apply to the rules on the course;
Rakes have been removed from bunkers with all bunkers now carrying an optional GUR
Flags must be left in the hole cup and should not be touched at all
Hole cups will sit proud of the holes by 1 to 2 inches. Any shot or putt that results in the ball hitting the cup will be deemed to have been holed.
These procedures will apply at both Cottingham Parks and Skidby Lakes
Please act responsibly by following Government and NHS guide lines.
We will continue to review the situation, adjust accordingly and keep you notified.
