January on the course with the Greenies

We are trying to keep you more informed about work that’s going on to improve the course by your team of hardworking Greenkeepers (we are still hard at it in the winter!).

We have had a good response to the white lines protecting the vulnerable areas around the greens, and we will be continuing this through the rest of winter.

I encourage all golfers to continue in repairing pitch marks and divots, it really does help protect your course.

With the recent better weather, we managed to spike both Cottingham Parks and Skidby Lakes greens. This is essential work to help keep our greens to the high standard that you expect.

Bunkers are back in play and will continue to rake them 3 times a week, weather permitting.

Myself, Mike and Rob have started to dig a new drainage channel in front of the 9th green. This is quite a big job, but will improve that area considerably, whilst also draining the troublesome left bunker.

We managed to give the fairways a cut which has tidied them up and given better definition.

We have a few more projects in the pipeline so watch this space......
