February on the course with the Greenies

With all hands on deck we managed to get the new turf laid on the 8th tee before the weather turned; this will give us more tee positions and spread the wear. We are hoping it will be in play early April.

The recent February heatwave got lots more golfers out on the course and allowed us to top the fairways and cut the tees and surrounds. We also took the opportunity to spike the greens again and have made a start verti-draining the tees, readying them for the new season.

Rob recently mole drained the 3rd + 5th fairways, and this will soon heal and will aid drainage.

Myself and Mike have been reinstating the irritation system, moving a few sprinklers and repairing some damaged ones, which meant the odd temporary green was in use.

We continue to rake out and tidy up areas on the course, and this will be on-going.

Any comments good or bad please pass on to myself, my team or simply fill in a comments card.

We are looking forward to the new season, in our 25th anniversary year!.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
