Faster Results!

Faster Results!!!

It is unlikely that you will reach your fitness goals using one approach because the chances are your body will adapt to whatever you are doing and your progress will sooner or later begin to slow right down.

If you do make progress employing the same strategies for extended periods of time, it will probably be very slow and frustrating…

So let’s talk about how you can reach your goal more efficiently…….

If you continue doing the same thing over and over with the expectation of a different result, there is a high chance that you are going insane!

Achieving your fitness goals will most likely come down to a combination of several different strategies, at least if you want to get there as fast as possible anyway.

I am going to give you an insight to all the strategies I have used to drop 2 stone of body fat in 10 weeks (an average of 2.4 lbs per week).

Before summer I was consciously trying to gain weight and I crept up to 14 stone 5 at my heaviest. With days out on the beach with friends and BBQs with the family in mind, I decided to get leaner for summer before continuing to gain weight later in the year.

I started out training 3-4 times per week (no cardio…yet). My training had not changed, however I dropped my calories from 3,600 per day to 2,500 per day.

Due to the rapid large decrease in my calorie intake I was stripping fat like there was no tomorrow in the first 4-6 weeks, however my body adapted really fast and my weight loss hit a wall.

I knew it was now time to switch things up if I wanted to continue making progress…

SO I CHANGED MY TACTICS.

For now I kept my training the same however I dropped my calories down to 2,300 per day and this was just enough to re-energise my metabolism and drop a few more lbs.

Just as expected my weight loss plateaued once again after a few weeks…

SO I CHANGED MY TACTICS.

I didn’t want to lower my calorie intake again so I decided to throw in 25 minutes of cardio 3x per week at the end of my training sessions. This was enough to shock my body into continue burning fat.

Once more, my body got wise and fat loss slowed down again…

 SO I CHANGED MY TACTICS.

I dropped my calories down to 2,200 this time and decided to superset certain exercises in my training program.

For those who don’t know, a superset is when you perform exercises back to back with no rest in-between. This heightened the intensity of my training regime and I also continued performing 25 minutes of cardio 3x per week.

I am not far away from my goal weight now and look a hell of a lot leaner being 2 stone lighter. As you can see, I have changed what I do repeatedly when progress began slowing down.

If you have stopped seeing results, maybe you have been doing the same thing for too long?

Maybe it’s time for you to embrace change and revamp your routine?

If you need help in reorganising and restructuring your routine, please do hesitate to give either myself or a member of the team a shout.

That’s all for today,

Joe ‘change your tactics’ Welsh.
